Our Stay Home Moms Story... And How We Started Our Own Profitable Internet BusinessWe are two stay home moms. My name is Marcella and together with my sister-in-law Antonya we stay home to care about our 4 children. My son Marc and Antonya's beautiful daughter (my God daughter) Michell were born in 2005.It was the most joyous and beautiful event, that forever changed our lives. As new stay-home-moms, we enjoyed every minute with them. Trips to playgrounds, local farm with animals, our favourite Macaroni and Grill Restaurant.... We also had plenty of time to cook nutritious and delicious meals for our children and husbands and to keep our flower and veggie gardens growing and beautiful. Just two years later, I welcomed my sweetest twins John and Natalia. Suddenly, I had a big family,and stay at home mom job, something I've always wanted to have. And yes, both of us are still stay home moms and care about our loved ones. We make enough money to help pay our bills and there is always enough left for fun times with our kids. We'll tell you all about it on this page. Many of our friends envy our lifestyle. Many tell us how they would love stay home mom jobs, play with their kids, travel and just be their own bosses, but lack the time, money, or both.... We understand how they feel. Our parents had to work very hard and we were raised by pre-K's and babysitters. We just couldn't imagine to raise our children "parentless". But it wasn't easy. Things changed, there were setbacks, financial difficulties and worries, how we going to pay our bills. But we overcame the setbacks, solved our problems, and so can you. Yes, you can do it. Our biggest fear is that we'll miss all the precious, small things life has to offer while working to pay our bills. HOW IT ALL STARTED.....AND ENDED WITH OUR STAY AT HOME MOM JOBS..... I had always wanted to be my own boss. Just the idea that my 9 to 5 job
until retirement with late evenings and weekends with my family might be all
there was ...... very scary.
I studied and worked as a analytical chemist in a pharmaceutical company. I loved chemistry, lab and my wonderful co-workes. Our lab was part of small manufacturing facility where things were "little behind the usual corporate world". Things changed when our old factory closed down and we moved to other "modern" facility. Suddenly, the main goal of my new co-workers was to report something negative or bad about anybody. Pharmaceutical lab environment is very strict and controlled, but with the smiling backstabbers and a lot of overtime work on the top of it, things can get pretty stressful. One day, my new boss announced his intention to make me another lab supervisor. Honestly, my smile froze when I imagined that I would be squezeed downward by demanding upper management and upward by bickering and backstabbing employess. The raise offered would just equal to what I was already making with my overtime hours (which I would have to put in anyway). It was time to rething my future as I was unhappy at my job for quite some time. Is this what I want? What about my goals, where are my dreams? 9 to 5 and load of stress on top of it? I just want to be happy and enjoy what I do. I took a deep breath, looked at my situation from every angle and reached a conclusion myself: Change it now or never! So, I finally listened my husband and decided to start to manage his growing roofing and construcion business. I used to help him all the time, but my new job left no time or energy to do it anymore. My boss and everyone in lab understood: "What? You are leaving your promising career and going to work in construction business?" My friends offered support as well: "Is something wrong with you?. What do you mean follow your dreams? You need to learn how to keep quiet, and get your weekly paycheck. That's all you care about. Wake up before it's too late, it won't work anyway." You get the picture. But I made up my mind, and the next few years were truly amazing. James R. Cook Together with my husband, we took on new projects, build and remodeled homes and added more services for our customers. It did not feel like I have to do something anymore, I simply enjoyed doing it. I know what you think about working with your spouse. But honestly, I enjoyed it. We set boundaries and respected each other. We worked hard but We made money, grew our company, traveled and enjoyed a lot. I finally had enough time to sign up for evening Master courses in Cosmetic Chemistry. As a woman and chemist I wanted to know exactly what's in my creams and cosmetics that I use every day. I also attended feng shui lectures and courses, food and nutrition, raw food cooking, massage, yoga and other very interesting classes. What a treat for my mind and sould that was! In October 2005 our 9.6 lb baby boy was born and for the first time I felt that I had accomplished my dream. Here I am with this beautiful angel, financially secure and able to just stay home and enjoy it all. And I truly did. Little Marc became a center of our Universe and he completed our life. This was the time when I also became very close to my sister-in-law Antonya. Her Michell was born just 4 months earlier, so we used to chat about babies and everything else all the time - We made the best out of our stay home moms time. Then came 2007. It was a strange year. A lot of good and bad things happened at the same time. In March I found out that I'm pregnat with not one but two babies. I felt overwhelmed with all the emotions and started to cry right at the doctor's office. By the time I spoke to my husband on the cell phone, he could not undertand or hear nothing other then my sobbing. Finally, it all came out: "Baby, we are going to have two more babies!!!" "Really? That's great!" he said. Why are you crying? "I don't know" I said.....(I felt very happy and very scared. I was still figuring out how to take care about Marc who was 15 months old at that time. How can I have 2 more babies so soon?!) Slowly I got used to the idea and started to prepare myself for my biggest stay at home mom job The entire pregnancy went well. Yoga, heatlhy diet and walking helped me a lot. I had this huge belly and still had to lift and care about Marc. Twins, 6.9 lb Johny and 7.1 lb Natalia were born naturally on November 14, 2007. Things were tough at the beginning, but once I found my schedule I felt more in control. I hired babysitter for few hours a week and things slowly settled down. We enjoyed our children so much and couldn't be happier stay home moms.... They were truly the best things that ever happened to us. OUR PARADISE DIDN'T LAST FOREVER... Antonya 
As dark clouds bring storm and spoil a perfect day, slower economy and
business darkened our days.
With comming recession, our roofing and construcion business started to significantly slow down and we could not sell houses anymore. We lost money there, couldn't sell here, didn't get paid... Once we got rid of our houses, we concentrated on providing roofing and other home improvement services. But things were tough. Insecurity and bleak future caused people to panic and stop spending. Everybody had different priorities and our company phone stopped ringing. It was the most difficult time for us. We were facing tought reality every day. Suddenly, my dreams and life I had dissapeared. Antonya was in the very same situation as her husband was in the window, door and deck business. I was so worried. I knew I have to start to contribute with the money. What's next? 9 to 5 Job? What about my 3 small babies? Once again, I took a deep breath, looked at my situation from every angle and reached a conclusion myself: I did it before and I can do it again. ! I was still holding onto my dreams.I worked so hard all those years so I can be stay home mom for my children. Even that life works in truly unpredictable ways, I wasn't going to give up. So I set myself a new goal: "I will find a stay home mom job that makes me happy, pays all my bills, allows me to stay with my children, have fun and travel with them. And I will enjoy doing it for the rest of my life" Hard to believe, sound impossible? I can assure you, it's not. Nothing is impossible and you can find the way to do it. Just stop saying I can't do it, I don't know, I don't have...Just erase it... Did you fail before? So did I. Many times... It doesn't matter, if you fail or win, just learn from it and take it as another step towards reaching your ultimate goal.
